G10 scales are popular for knives because they are a lightweight, durable material that's resistant to wear. G10 is a composite material made from fiberglass sheets and epoxy resin that are pressed together, heated, dried, then dye sublimated with our sweet designs. Eventually they will wear, but that's just part of the badge of honor of a well-used knife.
