The sewing kit is "deadstock," meaning it is unused but has been stored in a military warehouse for many years. As such, some discoloration or missing stitches on the fabric, as well as slight rust on the needles, may be present. We consider all these to be features of deadstock military products and hope that you also appreciate them.

To refresh the tarnished metal, consider a light sanding, then a coat of sewing machine oil or a swipe of beeswax.
