Joseph Bulova founded the Bulova corporation in 1875. Initially, its headquarters was in Maiden Lane, New York City. The operation entailed the shipment of high grade swiss movements into the united states to be fitted into their American made cases. By 1920 Bulova, enjoying its early successes, relocated to fifth Ave, NY.
      Its first endeaver in waterproof mechanical wristwatches, according to my understanding and research, was with their watertite model. The watertite production began in 1940 and was touted by Bulova for its robust build that was "sealed so that the least drop of water could not enter the case." 
     The Bulova Seabee followed the Bulovas watertite. This is one of the most beautiful Bulova’s made in my opinion. Cream waffle dial with bright yellow lume pips, blued steel hands and beveled stainless turtle lugged case. This watch is spectacular.

DIAL: Cream waffle, silver coffin markers, beaded inner track, yellow radium lume and blued steel second hand. 

CASE: The 33mm x 38mm stainless steel turtle lug case is in great shape. The watch wears much bigger than the 33mm would suggest due to the unique lug and case shape. The watch presents with wear commensurate for its age. It features what was considered at the time a water proof case and is completed by its signed crown. 

MOVEMENT: 17j manual winding movement. The service history is unknown. The watch winds, sets and runs. It is currently keeping good time. 

BRACELET: Blue suede Watch Gecko strap with cream stitching- this straps picks the blued second hand and cream dial- we just had to pair this strap with this watch
